Refund & Cancellation Policy

We make custom furniture — every piece is built specifically for the person who ordered it. That changes how refunds work compared to buying something off a shelf. Here's the full picture so you know exactly where you stand.

The Context

Why Custom Furniture Refunds Are Different

Let's be honest about this upfront because it's important.

When you buy a chair from a store, the store can take it back and sell it to someone else. It's a standard product. But when you order a custom resin table from us, we buy wood specifically for your design, mix resin in your chosen colours, and pour it in a pattern that only you asked for.

Once that's done, we can't "un-pour" the resin. We can't strip your chosen pigment out and reuse it. The wood has been cut to your dimensions. The whole thing was made for you and only you.

That's why our refund policy is tied to how far along we are in the process. The earlier you cancel, the more we can refund. The later it gets, the more committed the materials and labour are to your specific order.

We're not trying to keep your money. We're trying to be fair to both sides.

The Timeline

Refund at Each Stage

Here's where things stand depending on when you cancel:

Order Placed

Advance paid

Materials Bought

Wood & resin sourced

Production Starts

Cutting & preparation

Resin Poured

No turning back

Scenario 1: Cancel Before Production Starts

You placed the order and paid the advance, but we haven't bought materials or started any work yet. Maybe you changed your mind, found something else, or the budget shifted. That's completely fine.

You Get Back
90%
of advance paid

Scenario 2: Cancel After Production Starts (Before Pour)

We've already purchased the wood slab, sourced the resin, and begun preparing materials for your table. The wood may have been cut to size. But we haven't poured the resin yet — so the materials could potentially be repurposed, though not always.

You Get Back
50%
of advance paid

Scenario 3: Cancel After Resin Has Been Poured

The resin has been mixed with your specific pigments and poured onto the wood in your specific design. At this point, the table is essentially built for you. The materials can't be reused for another order — they're committed to your piece.

You Get Back
No Refund
Materials committed

The 10% processing fee in Scenario 1 covers the time we've already spent on your order — the consultation calls, the design discussion, the quote preparation, and the administrative work of setting up the order. We don't charge for consultations separately, so this covers that effort.

Damage & Defects

What If the Table Arrives Damaged?

That's a different situation entirely — and the rules above don't apply here.

If your table arrives with damage from shipping or with a genuine craftsmanship defect, you're fully covered. Here's what to do:

  • Inspect within 48 hours of receiving the delivery
  • Take clear photos of the damage from multiple angles
  • Contact us immediately — call +91 96390 54379 or email contact@annatables88.site with the photos and a description

What we'll do:

  • Transit damage: We'll work with the logistics partner to resolve it. Depending on the severity, we'll either repair, replace, or provide appropriate compensation
  • Craftsmanship defect: If the defect is on our end (structural issue, resin separation, significant discolouration), we'll repair or remake the affected section at no cost to you

Not covered as defects: Natural variations in wood grain, subtle differences in resin colour shade (resin can shift slightly during curing depending on temperature), minor micro-bubbles, and natural wood characteristics like knots or grain patterns. These are features of handcrafted work, not defects. We'll always show you examples during the discussion phase so you know what to expect.

The Process

How Refunds Are Processed

If you're entitled to a refund based on the scenarios above, here's how it works:

  • Request: Contact us by phone or email stating you'd like to cancel and request a refund
  • Confirmation: We'll confirm which scenario applies based on the current production stage and calculate the refund amount
  • Processing time: Refunds are processed within 14 business days of the cancellation being confirmed
  • Refund method: Refunds are sent to the same payment method used for the original payment (UPI, bank transfer, etc.)
  • Confirmation of receipt: Once the refund is processed, we'll share the transaction details with you

If there's any delay beyond 14 business days, contact us and we'll sort it out immediately.

Exceptions

Situations Where Refunds Don't Apply

To be fully transparent, here are cases where we cannot offer refunds:

  • Change of mind after delivery: If the table has been delivered as agreed and matches the confirmed design, size, and specifications, we cannot accept returns or refunds because you changed your mind about the colour or style
  • Damage caused after delivery: Scratches, dents, heat marks, or other damage caused by use or handling after you received the table
  • Expectations vs. reality of handcrafted work: As discussed above, natural variations in resin and wood are inherent to the medium. If the final product matches the agreed design but has natural material variations, this is not grounds for a refund
  • Incomplete information: If important details (like exact size requirements or colour preferences) weren't communicated during the design phase, and the table was built based on what was agreed, we can't be held responsible for the mismatch

This is exactly why we spend so much time on the discussion phase. The more detailed our conversation before production, the fewer surprises after.

Our Advice

How to Avoid Needing a Refund

We'd rather help you get the right table than process a refund. Here's how to make sure you're happy with the end result:

  • Take your time during discussions. Don't rush the design phase. Ask questions. Send reference images. Tell us what you like and don't like. The more we know, the better we build.
  • Ask to see material samples. If you're in Jaipur, visit the workshop. If not, we can share photos of the wood slab and resin colour options before we start.
  • Be specific about size. Measure the space where the table will go. A table that's too big for the room is a problem neither of us wants.
  • Confirm everything in writing. Before we start, we'll share a summary of the agreed design. Review it carefully. If something's off, that's the time to say so.
  • Ask about progress. We share updates, but if you want to see photos at any stage, just ask. It's your table — you have every right to know how it's coming along.
