We make custom furniture — every piece is built specifically for the person who ordered it. That changes how refunds work compared to buying something off a shelf. Here's the full picture so you know exactly where you stand.
Let's be honest about this upfront because it's important.
When you buy a chair from a store, the store can take it back and sell it to someone else. It's a standard product. But when you order a custom resin table from us, we buy wood specifically for your design, mix resin in your chosen colours, and pour it in a pattern that only you asked for.
Once that's done, we can't "un-pour" the resin. We can't strip your chosen pigment out and reuse it. The wood has been cut to your dimensions. The whole thing was made for you and only you.
That's why our refund policy is tied to how far along we are in the process. The earlier you cancel, the more we can refund. The later it gets, the more committed the materials and labour are to your specific order.
We're not trying to keep your money. We're trying to be fair to both sides.
Here's where things stand depending on when you cancel:
Advance paid
Wood & resin sourced
Cutting & preparation
No turning back
You placed the order and paid the advance, but we haven't bought materials or started any work yet. Maybe you changed your mind, found something else, or the budget shifted. That's completely fine.
We've already purchased the wood slab, sourced the resin, and begun preparing materials for your table. The wood may have been cut to size. But we haven't poured the resin yet — so the materials could potentially be repurposed, though not always.
The resin has been mixed with your specific pigments and poured onto the wood in your specific design. At this point, the table is essentially built for you. The materials can't be reused for another order — they're committed to your piece.
The 10% processing fee in Scenario 1 covers the time we've already spent on your order — the consultation calls, the design discussion, the quote preparation, and the administrative work of setting up the order. We don't charge for consultations separately, so this covers that effort.
That's a different situation entirely — and the rules above don't apply here.
If your table arrives with damage from shipping or with a genuine craftsmanship defect, you're fully covered. Here's what to do:
What we'll do:
Not covered as defects: Natural variations in wood grain, subtle differences in resin colour shade (resin can shift slightly during curing depending on temperature), minor micro-bubbles, and natural wood characteristics like knots or grain patterns. These are features of handcrafted work, not defects. We'll always show you examples during the discussion phase so you know what to expect.
If you're entitled to a refund based on the scenarios above, here's how it works:
If there's any delay beyond 14 business days, contact us and we'll sort it out immediately.
To be fully transparent, here are cases where we cannot offer refunds:
This is exactly why we spend so much time on the discussion phase. The more detailed our conversation before production, the fewer surprises after.
We'd rather help you get the right table than process a refund. Here's how to make sure you're happy with the end result:
